NBC’s The Voice will be entering on September 21st with a brand new season. Returning as coaches will be Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams. The show has also added another major musical superstar to the lineup. Missy Elliot will be joining Team Pharrell as a mentor during the ninth season of The Voice.

Pharrell and Elliot have been in the studio for the past year working on new music together. The two also performed together during the BET Awards last year. Elliot made her return to the music scene during Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime performance.

The rest of the mentor lineup has also been announced for season nine. Working with Shelton will be country superstar Brad Paisley, Stefani has recruited Selena Gomez to help her team and John Fogerty will be rounding out the mentors assisting Levine, Yahoo reported.

Season eight of The Voice featured Christina Aguilera, Pharrell Williams, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine as judges. Pharrell Williams and Sawyer Fredericks won the entire vocal reality competition.
