The network confirmed the newest addition to the singing competition show to People on Monday.
The announcement of Gomez, whose album Revival comes out Oct. 9, joining the show comes on the heels of the announcement that “Bitch Better Have My Money” singer Rihanna is joining the show this fall as a key advisor to all the judges.
"It's just incredible to me to think of somebody that's been doing it since they were a child, like it's hard to understand it,” Stefani told Access Hollywood in her first joint interview with Gomez.
Stefani added, “The dedication and the years that she's put in and to only be so young but have so much experience is kind of incredible.”
Gomez sounded excited to be on board, saying the decision was a no-brainer. "First off, you don't say no to Gwen,” she said.
