Suzanne Crough, who was a young child actor in The Partridge Family, died of a rare heart ailment in April, the Clark County, Nevada coroner confirmed on Wednesday.
The coroner told TheWrap that Crough suffered from arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia, a form of cardiomyopathy that affects around 1 in 5,000 people.
According to Cleveland Clinic, the cause is unknown, although family history has been involved in past cases. Patients with ARVD also often have arrhythmias, which increases the risk of a sudden cardiac arrest or death.
Crough died in April at 52. She played the youngest daughter in the hit ‘70s series and played tambourine in the band. Following the show’s end in 1974, she only made a few other television appearances. She lived in Nevada.
Crough was survived by her husband and two daughters.
