Have you been feeling symptoms of withdraw from Hollywood award season? We understand it’s rough; we go from an award show every weekend to nothing. Dead silence. Sure the Emmys are coming up, but not until the middle of September. How are we supposed to wait that long? Good news, you don’t have to wait! Hollywood spent time awarding itself this weekend.

The Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour held its TCA Awards on Saturday. The TCA recognized a variety of television series’ and stars including Amy Schumer, David Letterman, and Jon Hamm.

According to Deadline Hollywood Fox’s Empire took home the top prize of the night, Program of the Year, while AMC’s Better Call Saul took home Outstanding New Program of the Year, Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer won for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy, and FX’s The Americans was honored for Outstanding Achievement in Drama. Schumer was also awarded for Individual Achievement in Comedy.

The TCA Summer Press Tour is an annual event that lets networks and other platforms, such as Netflix, preview their upcoming shows. It is held over multiple weeks. So far at this year’s TCA tour we’ve learned that Louie C.K. is taking another break, Miss Piggy isn’t handling her break-up very well, Cookie is getting her own show, and our favorite city correspondent, Stefon, will be joining the Nine-Nine precinct.
