The View co-hosts, lead by Whoopi Goldberg, opened up their show on Wednesday defending Kelly Osbourne’s controversial response to Donald Trump’s immigration comments.

Osbourne has apologized for asking Trump who will clean his toilets if Latinos didn’t live in the U.S. and Goldberg, Rosie Perez, Nicolle Wallace, Michelle Collins and Raven-Symone stood behind her.

"The point she was actually trying to make was that Donald Trump's stance on immigration will only end up hurting the people that Donald Trump is counting on,” Goldberg said at the top of the show, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

"One of the things that happens on live TV is you try to get your point in and you try to hit it and you sometimes step in dog doo,” she continued. “It does not make you a racist. … Sometimes your head works faster than your mouth. It happens."

Perez, who was not on Wednesday’s show, took to Twitter on Tuesday to defend Osbourne as well, calling her heart “so pure & righteous.”

Wallace brought up the fact that she got a lot of backlash from the Latin community for forgiving Osbourne so easily. “She brought the first Latina secretary of the United States to this table. She celebrates and advances Latinos every day at this table so no one should question my girl RP's commitment to the community because she forgave Kelly Osbourne,” Wallace said.

As for Symone, she pointed out that she’s “best friends” with the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. "I don't think she'd be a racist if she was friends with me," she said.
