It looks like talk show host Wendy Williams won’t be attending an Ariana Grande concert anytime soon.
51-year-old Williams has been the recipient of criticism on Twitter, according to E! News, after body-shaming comments she made about singer Ariana Grande on her show, The Wendy Williams Show.
“She’s 21. She’ll forever look 12,” Williams said as her audience laughed. “And I don’t mean that in a good way. It’s nice to look younger that you are, but when you look too young and then you’re short -- she’s only like 4’11”. I don’t look at her as, like, a woman.”
Williams’ comments prompted 22-year-old Grande’s fans to create the hashtag #CancelWendyWilliams, which trended on Twitter Thursday night. Grande’s fans banded together on social media to try to get the show taken off air.
Other fans left examples of how Williams has defended Grande in the past and spoken out against bullying.

Grande has made headlines recently after a video of the singer leaked licking donuts and claiming that she “hates Americans.”
The singer later apologized saying, “I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I’ve always made it clear that I love my country. However, as an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole.”
