Celebrity splits have been on the rise this past summer and now another couple has split up. Former One Direction band member Zayn Malik has reportedly ended his engagement with Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.

People reported a source said Malik’s decision to end their relationship caused Edwards to be “devastated.” Edwards has been in the middle of promotional engagements for Little Mix and has had to put “on a brave face.”
As previously reported, the couple were engaged in August 2013 and Edwards’ mother said in an interview, “It’s official. I’m over the moon. They really are in love.” They had gotten engaged during a weekend when Malik proposed.
Back in June, Edwards had sent rumors swirling that she and Malik had married in secret when she and fellow band mates made a joke video in which they said their names followed by the last names of their boyfriends.
In March, Edwards and Malik had to deal with cheating rumors and at the time, it seemed as though wedding plans were still under way.
