With Season 10 set to finish up in two weeks, NBC has went ahead and renewed America’s Got Talent for another season. Unfortunately, viewers will have to do without Howard Stern.
NBC announced today that AGT will return for another season next summer. Auditions will start in Detroit on Nov. 7 and finish up on Feb. 27 in Dallas. Details about the auditions can be found here.
“Since premiering in 2006, ‘America’s Got Talent’ has remained the only competition series that gives entertainers of all ages and talents a chance to showcase their unique skills to a nationwide audience,” executive producer Sam Donnelly said in a statement. “Following the landmark 10th anniversary season, we’re looking forward to discovering the next decade of exceptionally talented acts, beginning with season 11 auditions this fall.”
The current judges on the show are Howie Mandel, Stern, Heidi Klum and singer Mel B. Stern has already announced that he is leaving the show after this season and jokingly suggested that Simon Cowell replace him. Nick Cannon is the host and the live shows are broadcast from Radio City Music Hall.
Cowell is among the executive producers on AGT. The show is produced by FremantleMedia North America and Syco Entertainment.
AGT’s 10th season finishes up with a two-hour episode on Wednesday, Sept. 16.
