Saturday night was episode four of Blunt Talk on the Starz Network. If you missed it, read through this recap to catch up.

The show opens on Walter making shadow puppets. He and Harry have been drinking all night. They discuss that since Walter is going to AA, that they should start cutting back. They also talk about how Walter is scared to meet up with his 5-year-old son, Bertie, the next day.

The next scene is Harry dropping Walter off at his son’s school. Walter is very nervous but determined to be a better father. Harry is hungover. Bertie greets Walter as “Walter Blunt.” His mother smells alcohol on Walter’s breath. He claims it’s aftershave, but she gives him a couple of breath mints.

Walter reads to the kids. Moby is a guest at the school and sings with the kids. Walter makes fun of Moby’s name, but then finds out that his ex is now dating him. Walter tells her he doesn’t want a debauched rock star around his child. She tells him that he’s vegan and sober, unlike Walter.

The teacher calls them in for a parent-teacher conference. They argue about the custody arrangements. The teacher suggests Facetime. Walter says he doesn’t know how to use it – he’s on AOL.

Jim is called into HR’s office. He hasn’t let the cleaning crew into his office in seven months. He claims it’s a germ phobia. When the man in HR says he has to let the cleaning crew in, Jim takes off running to his office.

Rosalie’s husband shows up at the office because he lost his keys at the hardware store. He’s been forgetting a lot lately. He and Rosalie decide to make love in her office.

Celia’s one night stand appears in her office. She tells him she doesn’t want to see him because he’s married. He says that he’s separated, but living in the same house. He does a multitude of magic tricks proving the connection they have. He gives her a set of vintage pearls. She is impressed and takes him back.

There’s a problem with one of Shelly’s stories being stolen. Everyone seems too busy with themselves to help her, but eventually Rosalie comes out to help. Walter comes in and insists on Rosalie spooning him because he’s upset about his ex-wife dating again. While spooning, she fills him in on the problem with the stolen story. HR comes into the office to complain about Jim.

Walter tries to convince Jim to come out of his office. When he fails, he tries to have Celia talk to Jim. Jim tells her he has issues. She tries to convince him that they all have issues. Shelly accuses Jim of leaking her story. Jim denies it, but still refuses to open the door. HR says they’ll have to get a locksmith, but Celia’s magician friend picks the lock. Upon opening the door, we find that Jim is a hoarder. He runs out of his office.

During a break in Walter’s show, Rosalie tells him that Jim’s computer is clean – that he didn’t leak Shelly’s story. She also tells him that if he gets his life together, that his employees, who see him as a father figure, will get their lives together too.

Walter stops by Jim’s house to talk to him about his problem. He does his shadow puppets for him. Jim admits he looks up to Walter as a mentor. Jim says he “lives like a beaver that’s lost its mind” to put off death – by never throwing anything away, he can use it all again and live forever. Walter says he’ll pay for Jim to see his analyst. In return, Jim teaches Walter how to use Facetime to talk to his son.

Walter calls Bertie, and Moby talks to him while waiting for Bertie’s mom to get him. He asks Walter how he shaves his head without any nicks or cuts. Walter tells him he’s “good with a blade” and tells him to go away. Bertie gets on and says, “Walter Blunt! Is this the news?” This ends the show.
