Miss Piggy is not happy that Kermit ditched her for another pig, but she’s on the rebound with another beau: singer Josh Groban.

Groban has decided to start dating Piggy, at least in The Muppets universe. Entertainment Tonight confirmed that he will appear in the second episode of the new ABC series. That’s because Kermit set Piggy up with Groban.

“One of my favorite things that I love is when people solve problems in the worst way and it backfires,” executive producer Bill PRady told ET. “Piggy is in a foul mood. So her ex-boyfriend, Kermit, decides that the best way to calm everything down is to essentially fix Piggy up with somebody, and he does it by going to that list they had when they were a couple -- the free pass list.”

Apparently, according to Prady, Piggy and Kermit had a “free pass list” while they were still dating. It was a list of celebrities they could have affairs with and neither of them would complain. Groban was on Piggy’s list, so Kermit gets Groban to perform on Up Late With Miss Piggy to set them up.

The only trouble is, Groban has a real-life girlfriend. He’s dating 2 Broke Girls star Kat Dennings, who tweeted that she’s now dating Kermit! That might be news to Denise!

The Muppets kicks off on ABC on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
