Rapper 50 Cent took to Instagram this week to unveil his new mansion in Africa.
Despite recently filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy, “In Da Club” rapper 50 Cent may not be in such dire financial straits, as he teased his new crib in an Instagram video.
The video shows off a lavish backyard, with a large swimming pool, several yard keepers, and a personal fleet of palm trees.
"My crib is almost finished in AFRICA," the 40-year-old New York native captioned in the video. "I'm gonna have the craziest House warming party ever. I'll explain later. I got a good life Man."
In July, 50 Cent, whose legal name is Curtis James Jackson III, filed for bankruptcy, reporting assets and debts between $10 and $50 million. The filing came just days after a judge ordered him to pay $5 million to a woman for damages after he allegedly acquired a sex tape of her and her boyfriend and shared it online without her consent, the Associated Press reported.
Speaking to ET in the aftermath of the trial, the actor-rapper didn’t seem fazed about his situation.
"People love tragedy more than they love good news, no matter how you look at it," 50 Cent said. "The news comes on, and it's 90 percent tragedy. I have faith in the court systems. I know at points you gotta just relax and go through the process."
With his new mansion to look forward to, it appears that 50 Cent can certainly relax now.
