According to Yahoo, the Real Time with Bill Maher host showed a picture of Mohamed and his clock and said, “And the people at the school thought it might be a bomb, perhaps because it looks exactly like a f—king bomb.”

Mohamed’s teacher took the clock and told the principal after she thought her 14-year old student brought a bomb to school. According to Entertainment Weekly, Maher defended the teacher’s decision. “Look, this kid deserves an apology— no doubt about it. They were wrong. But can we have a little perspective about this? Did the teacher really do a wrong thing?”

“So the teacher’s just supposed to see something that looks like a bomb and be, ‘Oh, wait, this might just be my white privilege talking?’” Maher continued. “‘I sure don’t want to be politically incorrect, so I’ll just let it go.’”

Other celebrities like Bristol Palin are speaking out about Mohamed’s clock. Palin wanted President Obama not to comment on the situation.

“This is the kind of stuff Obama needs to STAY out of. This encourages more racial strife that is already going on with the 'Black Lives Matter' crowd and encourages victimhood," she wrote.

President Obama tweeted his support for Ahmed and invited him to the White House.

Mohamed was not charged after his arrest, but was suspended from school for three days.
