There truly is an award for everything.
Bill Murray has been no stranger to awards in the past. He has a Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Primetime Emmy under his belt, just to name a few. Now he is receiving the most prestigious award a caddie can be honored with: an induction to the Caddie Hall of Fame.
According to Golf.com, Murray and his five brothers will be inducted into the Caddie Hall of Fame after they compete and have a private dinner at Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Illinois. Murray’s brother, Bill Murray, based the hit movie Caddyshack on the time the Murray brothers spent as caddies, in their youth.
As Vanity Fair pointed out, Murray is no stranger to participating in peculiar events. He has crashed a couple’s engagement photo shoot, toasted a stranger at a bachelor party, and showed up to an ice cream social held by a stranger in his honor. The comedian also had a day named after him in Toronto and the Alamo Drafthouse Austin movie theater decided to celebrate the star’s birthday with seven screenings of classic Murray films.
