This is either the start of another Caitlyn Jenner media blitz or NBC has just decided to air Matt Lauer’s golf games in an effort to save the Today Show’s ratings. Either way, next week, Today viewers will wake up to see Lauer play golf with the Olympic gold medalist.
NBC News announced today that Lauer and Jenner sat down for an interview to discuss her life since she began transitioning to being a woman. The interview, which was taped during a golf game between the two, will air in two parts on Wednesday, Sept. 9 and Thursday, Sept. 10.
The network also promised that Jenner will discuss the Malibu car crash from February that left one person dead. Not only could she face a vehicular manslaughter charge, but she’s also facing an $18.5 million lawsuit from other victims of the crash.
On Tuesday, Sept. 8, Jenner will also appear on the Ellen DeGeneres Show’s season premiere. It will be her first talk show appearance since going public with the transition.
Jenner’s transition has also been chronicled in E!’s I Am Cait series.
