In two weeks, Boston residents must beware of supernatural beings, as the city will be the stomping grounds for the weekend of the werewolves, vampires, witches and gifted hunters of the hit CW show The Vampire Diaries.

Ok, so no one there will actually be a blood-sucker, half-human, super warrior or practiced in sorcery. But even better, the actors who play those creatures will hit the Hyatt Regency Cambridge hotel Oct. 2-4 for the first ever Boston edition of Creation Entertainment's The Vampire Diaries convention.

The con will offer fans the chance to meet and greet, take photos and have Q&A sessions with the boys of the adored supernatural drama. The two leading men, objects of most viewers' affections, Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) and Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) are headlining the event, both scheduled to appear Sunday, the final day of the event.

They'll be joined by a leading man from TVD spinoff The Originals — Daniel Gillies (Elijah Mikaelson), whose appearance day(s) is yet to be determined — as well as TVD stars Matthew Davis (Alaric Saltzman, appearance schedule unknown), Michael Trevino (Tyler Lockwood, appearing Saturday day and night), Zach Roerig (Matt Donovan, appearing Saturday day and night) and Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert, appearing Saturday tentatively). Seven other actors are also set to appear throughout the weekend: Micah Parker (Adrian), Chase Coleman (Oliver, on The Originals), Sebastian Roche (Mikael), Michael Malarkey (Enzo), Paul Telfer (Alexander), David Alpay (Atticus Shane) and Chris Brochu (Luke).

As planned to date, the convention will kick off Friday around noon and run through 6 p.m., with an evening karaoke party rounding out the day. The party will be hosted by Micah Parker, who is serving as a host throughout the weekend. Celebrity guests may attend, in which case fans can sing with them if they sign up with the DJ ahead of time.

Saturday activities will begin around 9 a.m. and run until 7 p.m., followed by a concert party. Sebastian Roche is set to perform and Chase Coleman and his band Samurai Fish will be the headlining entertainers. Several of the actors — Trevino, Roerig, Alpay and Brochu — are tentatively set to appear on stage as well. The concert takes the place of a previous element of the convention, the Founder's Day Masquerade Ball, but as in the past, there will be a best themed centerpiece contest and best dressed contest with prizes of a $250 gift certificate toward Creation merchandise.

The last day of the event will feature festivities all day long.

According to the Creation Entertainment website, this will not only be the first Boston edition of the TVD con, it will also be the last, given limited space and availability in Boston. To see the different options for tickets and purchase them, click here.

A precise schedule for the convention will not be available until the Wednesday before it kicks off, due to the constraints and uncertainties of the celebrity guests' schedules, but check back here or at creationnet.com for updates.

For those of you who can't make it to Boston for the event this time, don't worry there's more events to come at different locations throughout the country. Creation's The Vampire Diaries convention tour includes one more stop this year — in Orlando, Florida Dec. 11-13 — and there are five events at different locations scheduled for 2016 — Atlanta, Georgia; Burbank, California; Chicago, Illinois; Dallas, Texas and Parsippany, New Jersey.
