Everyone seems to accept that Kit Harington is coming back to Game of Thrones next season, but officially, the actor has been assuring us that Jon Snow really is dead. In a recent interview, though, it looks like he let a massive secret slip about next season.

In this interview with Dutch-language magazine Humo, which a user on Reddit translated, Harington talked about having to turn down movie projects due to being on Game of Thrones, and he said that he knows exactly how long he's on contract for, implying he still hasn't been released from his contract and will appear in future seasons.

When asked how many more seasons he'd be appearing in, Harington said, "I can't talk about that. Let's just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over. One thing's for sure: the day I'm no longer on Thrones is the day I'll bury myself in movie projects."

That's a massive piece of information, and certainly a huge change from how Harington has been speaking in the past few months. In an interview published on Entertainment Weekly immediately after the Season 5 finale aired, Harington said very definitively that he isn't coming back. While on location where Game of Thrones filming takes place, Harington has refused to take photos with fans to keep up the charade, yet now he just said he's going to be on Game of Thrones for years. Did he just seriously screw up and let the secret slip? Or has he simply realized that everyone figured out the surprise?

Either way, it seems pretty definite that Jon Snow is coming back given the massive amount of evidence, but it's nice to see Harington finally admitting it, even if it was by accident.

Game of Thrones returns for its sixth season in 2016.
