Ivana Trump, the ex-wife of GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, is supporting her ex when it comes to his pursuit to become the next president.
Ivana, who has three children with him; Eric, Donald Jr. and Ivanka Trump, told Access Hollywood she thinks her ex-husband would make a “great” president.
"Donald is Donald. He's going to do exactly what he wants to do, say exactly what he wants to say. He's not going to mince words, quite frankly,” she said. “Donald is doing his thing, and he has his charm and if he wins – and I think he will – he's going to run the country as a business and this is what the country needs.”
Ivana and Donald were married from 1977 to 1992, so she knows him better than a lot of people. She said she believes he has a “big, big chance to win,” that is, if he secures a Republican nomination first.
“He's a great negotiator,” she went on to say. "The country needs somebody with courage and [somebody who] can achieve certain goals and America has to become better, because we are really in a deep hole.
Other countries, they don't respect America, don't respect our President. I think [Donald's] outspoken, and they see courage… anything that Donald touches turns to gold.”
Back in June, Trump threatened to sue the Daily Beast for publishing about Ivana, who used the word ‘rape’ in a deposition in the early 1990s to describe an incident between the two.
