Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had an action-packed Labor Day weekend as he heroically saved his two new puppies, Hobbs and Brutus from drowning.

Johnson shared his “fun Labor Day weekend story” on Instagram, posting a smiling picture of himself, fully soaked in the pool and with a French bulldog puppy in each hand.

According to Instagram, Johnson took action when, “Hobbs immediately starts doggy paddling while Brutus sinks head first to the bottom of the pool.”

“I take off into a full spring, fully clothed, dive in the pool, swim to the bottom, rescue my brick, I mean Brutus and bring him back to the edge of the pool,” wrote Johnson about his puppy rescue.

Johnson shared the lessons he learned from the heroic act, “A)Not all puppies have the instinct to doggie paddle. B) Some puppies (like BRUTUS) will be so in shock by experiencing water they will sink extremely fast so react quick. C)While springing to save your puppies life, before you dive in, try and throw your cell phone to safety. Don’t keep it in your pocket… like I did.”

As we previously reported . Johnson is set to star in the remake of Baywatch alongside Zac Efron.
