Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of Hole singer Courtney Love and the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain recently tied the knot, but her mom didn’t get an invite to the wedding.

The Mirror reported that the 23-year-old wed her beau of five years, Eeries singer Isaiah Silva, but failed to fill her mother in on her plan.

Cobain and Love have definitely had their ups and downs over the years, but the two are said to have good relationship now so that wasn’t the reason her mother wasn’t invited.

“Courtney and Frances have had a strained relationship over the years, but after tons of fallouts they actually get on quite well now,” a source said.

Cobain did call Love after the ceremony to let her know about it and told her she just wanted a low-key gathering.

“Courtney is sad she wasn’t there but she totally understands that Frances is her own person and she’s happy to let her do her own thing. Plus, Isaiah is a really nice guy,” the insider added.

When Love and Cobain got married they too kept it low key and intimate inviting only eight of their close friends.

Despite having famous parents, Cobain prefers to stay out of the limelight.

Life and Style noted that she made a rare public appearance on Sunday at HBO's 2015 Emmy After-Party. Prior to that though, she had not been seen in public for months.
