MONDAY - Maxie was relieved when Nathan came home. Then, she told him what a horrible day it had been. He then filled her in about his sister going free and add that he wasn’t happy that she went right back to about Franco, but had to admit that he seemed willing to do anything for her.

At home, Elizabeth cried as she thought about how she was lying to Jake/Jason. He then came downstairs and wondered why she was crying. She claimed that everything she had done had been out of her love for him and that she had done something terrible that would destroy them. Elizabeth then told him how much she loved Jason and how she didn't want Sam to have him. Then, young Jake ran downstairs upset because he just had a nightmare about Jake/Jason leaving them. Jake/Jason assured young Jake that he wasn’t going anywhere and then tickled him as Elizabeth started crying again. Jake/Jason then told young Jake just to think of the good things in their lives and then the bad dreams would go away. He then took him back up to bed. When Jake/Jason returned, he joined Elizabeth on the porch. He promised her that he wouldn’t walk away from his commitment to her, no matter what she had to tell him. "I've done something terrible to Sam," she replied.

At GH, Dante asked Patrick what Sonny's chances of surviving were. Patrick replied that he might not make it. Sam then asked about the investigation into the shooting and Dante told her that Julian was in lock-up. Then, Dante left to go check on his father, while Sam moped and worried. Patrick then pointed out that she and Jake/Jason were on the pier when the shooting occurred. Sam got defensive when Patrick mentioned about Jake/Jason killing three people. She then compared him to Jason and then worried about her father, hoping that he would be safe from revenge while in police custody.
Meanwhile, Morgan was at Sonny’s bedside, vowing to kill Julian. Then, Dante interrupted and assured his brother that he was building a case against Julian. After Morgan left, Dante wondered how his father could have walked into an ambush. He wished he would have called him as a cop. He then told a still unconscious Sonny that he didn’t want to lose him and loved him, even though he did selfish things. Dante then wished that Sonny had tried harder to be a father than a “Teflon don.” He then added that Morgan may blame Julian, but Dante blamed him. Then, Sonny's machines started beeping.

Down the hall, Michael and Carly found onto Sonny's wedding vows after they fell out of his jacket pocket. She was moved that he actually wrote them down and then decided to go to the chapel to read them alone. When she got there, she prayed for Sonny's life. After lighting a candle, she debated with herself about reading the vows. Eventually, she did and imagined him reading them to her.

Back down the hall, Michael and Morgan discussed their mother. Morgan then vented about Julian and Michael tried to keep him cool, suggesting that he see a shrink. They start bickering about this until Dante ran out, shouting for a doctor. Patrick then ran into Sonny's room and Michael went to get Carly.

Ric returned to his hotel suite and was confused to find a crib there. Then, Nina and Franco startled him as they appeared, while playing a recording of a baby crying. They then confronted him about scheming with Madeline to gaslight Nina and steal her money. Ric played dumb, but they said that they had already found someone to testify against him about his “shenanigans.” Ric wanted to negotiate so they asked him to sign an annulment giving up all claims and rights to Nina’s money. "Take the pen or go to the pen," Franco joked. After Ric signed the papers, Nina asked him if he ever loved her and then laughed in his face. They then kicked him out. Now they we’re free. Nina then told Franco that she thought he was the best and then they made out.

TUESDAY – Jake/Jason joined Elizabeth on her porch. He assured her that he wouldn't abandon her, no matter what she wanted to tell him. She then confessed that she had done something terrible to Sam. After some prodding, she explained that Sam's son Danny was swapped for a dead one when he was a baby. When Jason went searching for Danny, she (Elizabeth) falsified the DNA results to keep Sam and Jason apart because she wanted him for herself, but eventually she felt guilty and confessed. Jake/Jason wasn’t sure why she was confessing this to him. Elizabeth replied it was because she kept beating herself up about it, but he told her to stop. She then added that she just wanted to be honest with him and that he needed to know what she was capable of. Jake/Jason didn’t think he was in any position to judge considering all the people he had killed. She then added that being together was all that mattered and then they headed up to bed.

Sam was surprised when she found Ric laughing it up on her couch with Danny. Molly had let him in since his wife had thrown him out. He told Sam that he was worried about his brother. She then filled him in with the latest. They then discussed Sonny's resiliency and Ric wondered why his brother would have walked into such a situation unarmed. The topic then turned to Jason and how Jake/Jason did exactly what he would have done. Sam then recalled how Jason died protecting people. Ric suggested that she must be feeling a lot of deja vu at the moment and that ended the conversation for her. After he went up to say goodnight to Molly, she started looking through her Jason photo album.

At home, Maxie wished that she and Nathan could have a week without interruptions. She then told him that she was worried about Sonny and Carly. He replied by telling her about Jake/Jason killing three people. She found it weird how Jason would have reacted the same way and the fact that Sam keeps hanging out with Jake/Jason. Maxie then worried that Nathan's luck might run out the next time he's in a shootout, just like Jason’s did. He tried to assuage her worries by telling her that they then needed to cherish every moment.

At GH, Patrick and his crew tried to stabilize Sonny. He then walked out to Sonny’s family and told them that Sonny's heart had stopped and they may have to take him into surgery, although he may not be strong enough to survive it. After Patrick walked off, Morgan started to pace the hospital floor and Carly stared into space. Meanwhile, Michael and Dante discussed who could be responsible for the shooting. Michael then told Dante that he had realized that Sonny was his father and that he needed to accept him. Dante replied by saying that he wished he could do that too. Then, Sabrina arrived to comfort Michael. Carly tried to calm Morgan down, but her efforts didn’t work. Then, Patrick returned to say that the bullet seemed to be moving toward Sonny's heart and it could kill him or the surgery could. He then left them to mull over what they wanted to do. Carly let her sons debate the issue, but they were sure Sonny would want her to make the choice. She then headed into Sonny's hospital room. Sitting by his side, she contemplated on what he would want. Finally, she told the others of her choice and then Sonny was prepared for surgery. Patrick then called Sam to say he would be in the OR all night. She replied that she was sure that if anyone could save Sonny, it was him.

WEDNESDAY - Lulu was at GH and talked with Olivia about how Dante was doing. Olivia then left to find out news on Sonny and Lulu heads to find Dante. In the chapel, Dante prayed for Sonny and asked for forgiveness for cheating on Lulu. Then, Lulu walked in as Dante was wondering if he could be forgiven for what he had done. She questioned him about what he needed forgiveness for. He claimed that he was angry and yelled at Sonny last night, which was when all the machines started beeping and his heart stopped. Lulu told him that it wasn't his fault and that he shouldn't beat himself up.

Meanwhile, Olivia found the rest of the family just as Patrick came out of the OR with news. He told them that Sonny had pulled through, but that he wasn’t out of the woods just yet. Patrick then informed them that they would have to wait for the swelling to subside and that it will be a few days before they knew Sonny’s long term prognosis.

Back in the chapel, Dante was about to confess all to Lulu, but Olivia interrupted them with the news that Sonny was out of the OR, so they headed to find out how he was. Patrick allowed the family to go in one at a time and visit with Sonny. Carly went in first and asked Sonny to open his eyes and come back to her. Sonny then opened his eyes and looked at her.

At the PCPD, Valerie asked Nathan why he seemed to have a chip on his shoulder regarding her. He told her that he knew that she and Dante had slept together and that he couldn’t help but notice how she acted around Dante. He then added that he didn't know if he was misreading her extreme concern for Dante, but she replied that he wasn’t. Valerie then confessed to Nathan that she does have feelings for Dante, but that she wouldn't be the reason Dante lost his family. Nathan was glad to hear that and told her that he wanted to see her happy too. Nathan then said that he felt they should leave this in the past and move forward. They then agreed to never speak of this again. Nathan then got a call from the lab about the evidence on Julian he was waiting for.

Down in the holding cells, Scott visited Ava and revealed that he was her lawyer. Scott also told her that Julian was in jail again and told her about the charges against him. Ava then remembered asking Julian to stop the wedding for her and thought Julian did it for her. Scott then asked her what she knew about Julian and the shooting, but Ava refused to talk to anyone but her lawyer Diane. Scott shot back that Diane wasn't coming, because she was involved with Max, so she asked him to take Ava’s case. Ava wondered why Scott would help her given what she did to Franco and he told her he had no issue getting into bed with Sonny's enemies. He also revealed that he had the recording, which is the main evidence against her. He then added that without it, the DA had nothing on her and then he offered it to her for five million dollars. Ava replied that she may be able to afford that and asked if he did custody cases as well, because her first act as a free woman would be to get her daughter back. Scott replied that he could help her with that.

Meanwhile, Lucas went to see Julian in jail and asked him if he had Sonny shot. Julian replied that he had nothing to do with the shooting and that they didn’t have the evidence to pin it on him. Lucas was upset and told him about having to be a doctor, having to give families bad news about loved ones and how "the business" was responsible for so much violence. He then added that he worried that one day Julian may end up in his ER because he knew Sonny's men would come after him in retaliation. Lucas also told his dad that Sam was also worried that Sonny’s men would retaliate. Julian feared that Sam may be right, but told Lucas that he could take care of himself. Then, Nathan arrived and let Julian out saying he had been cleared.

Back at GH, Valerie showed up to give Sonny's family the news that there was no evidence against Julian to continue holding him and that he had been let go.

THURSDAY: At GH, Sonny woke up and told Carly that he was sorry that he missed their wedding.

Meanwhile, Valerie had to head back to work and Lulu decided to go with her and check on Dante.

Elsewhere, TJ was relieved to learn Sonny was going to be okay. Then, Morgan grilled him about what he heard or saw before the shooting, but TJ said that Charlie was careful not to say anyone’s name.

At the PCPD, Dante talked with Nathan about how his guilt was getting to him and how he didn’t know whether to confess or keep the secret. Dante thought keeping it a secret was best since Valerie had moved on with Dillon. Nathan knew otherwise and he tried to tell Dante about Valerie’s feelings for him, but then Lulu and Valerie arrived. Lulu wanted to come and tell Dante how great he was as a son, a father and a husband. Then, they hugged and Nathan saw the look of hurt on Valerie’s face. She later begged Nathan not to tell Dante about her feelings for him since had enough to deal with at the moment.

Julian was at his penthouse when he got a call from Sam. He promised her that he would be on guard for retaliation from Sonny’s men. Later, he found about Ava’s trial on the TV and got a call from her at the courthouse. Ava told him how Diane wouldn’t represent her and that Scott was her new lawyer. She also let him know that Scott had the recording so she would be coming home and getting her baby back. Scott then told Ava they had to get started, so her call to Julian was cut short.

At Sam’s place, Molly argued with Sam over Julian’s innocence. Then, Alexis interrupted when she returns home with a surprise and in walked Kristina. After catching up with her sisters, Kristina decided to go to GH and see her dad. Molly also left to go meet a study partner at school. After they were gone, Alexis and Sam discussed Julian. Sam believed that Julian was innocent, but said that everyone connected to Sonny thought that he did it.

In court, the judge announced the hearing was to review the evidence against Ava and set a trial date. Ric asked for a continuance, which led to an argument between Scott and Ric. Scott wanted to know what the continuance was for and Ric revealed that the recording that led to Ava’s arrest was missing. He then explained that it appeared to have been taken from his office when it was searched recently for evidence in the Silas Clay murder case. The judge wanted to speak with the Commissioner, so Jordan testified that the flash drive was indeed missing. Ric then accused Scott of stealing it, though he has no proof to back up his claim, so Scott asked for the charges against Ava to be dropped. The judge was then forced to dismiss the charges, but noted that if the flash drive was located then Ava would stand trial. Ava was so thrilled that she hugged Scott, while Ric got a nasty phone call from Mayor Lomax.

Alexis showed up to Julian’s penthouse. Julian swore to her that he was innocent, but that he was a marked man and had to get out of town. Alexis believed that would look bad if he fled since his trial was coming up, but Julian felt they would find out who really shot Sonny before then. Julian then asked Alexis to go with him, but she said that couldn’t leave her daughters. He still begged her to go with him, since he didn’t feel she would be safe.

Kristina arrived at GH and was reunited with her brothers. Back in Sonny’s room, Carly tld him that she found his vows and that they were beautiful. As they talked, Kristina came in to see her father. Carly left them and Kristina told Sonny how much she loved him, and that she was proud to be his daughter. She then added that she was worried about him, but he told her not to be.

Meanwhile, Michael told Morgan that Max was meeting with the other major families to see if he could find out who did this, since Sonny was still a target. Later, Carly then talked with Michael, while Morgan asked Milo, who was standing guard of Sonny, for a favor. Eventually, Michael went in to see Sonny and told him that he loved him and that he was his father. He then told him that they all talked to him while he was unconscious and asked if Sonny remembers. Sonny replied that he remembered hearing Morgan vowing revenge against Julian.

Ava saw Scott back to his hotel room at The Metro Court. He reminded her that she still owed him five million, which she promised to transfer to his account. As they entered his room, they discover someone has ransacked it.
Morgan arrived at Julian’s penthouse with a gun.

FRIDAY - At the Quartermaines, Tracy sensed something was wrong with Paul. Then, he told her that he had just mailed off his divorce papers. She gave him a hug. They then shared a close moment, but it was ruined when Maxie and Dillon came in, complaining about how the mayor had shut down his set. Dillon then explained how the delays were going doom the production. Then, Paul had an idea. He then told Dillon that he went to law school with Mayor Lomax and that he was her Achilles heel because she always had a thing for him. Dillon was thrilled. Paul then made a call to the mayor. They caught up and he got the permits lifted, but Tracy worried that Paul had lit a fire under Lomax. He then promised Tracy that he wasn’t really interested in Lomax. After he left to go see the mayor, Tracy filled Dillon in on his father finalizing his divorce. "I think maybe he turned into a real stand-up guy," she said.

As they headed to his room, Scott demanded the money that Ava had promised him for the recording. When they got inside, the room had been tossed and the recording was gone. He assumed that Ric was behind this and that her days were numbered. "You still owe me five million dollars," he added, but Ava refused to give him a cent until they get the recording back.

Patrick headed home. When he came in, Sam, Anna and the kids leapt up to surprise him for his birthday. Then, they unwrapped his gifts. Emma gave him trouble dolls to tell his problems to. Anna then told Sam about her troubles with Sloane. Sam assured her that things would be fine. Then, the gift opening continued. Sam gave Patrick a guitar. There was also cake and Patrick told them that his wished to have all of their dreams come true. Later, as they cleaned up, Patrick told Sam that he wanted to marry her.

Kristina sat with Carly at GH. They wondered where Morgan had disappeared to.
Meanwhile, Michael was in Sonny’s room. Sonny told him that he remembered Morgan visiting him. "Morgan is going to kill Julian Jerome," Sonny said, begging Michael to stop him. Then, Michael walked out and told Carly. They then cornered Milo, who admitted that Morgan went after Julian with a gun. Michael wanted to call Dante, but Carly talked him out of it. He then decided to track Morgan down on his own. After enlisting Milo's help, they headed out. Carly then went into Sonny's room and tried to keep him calm. Then, Kristina walked in on Carly assuring Sonny that Michael would stop the killing. Kristina then cornered Carly about this when they headed into the corridor. Carly insisted that all would be well, but Kristina worried that her mom could wind up being collateral damage.

Morgan showed up at Julian's penthouse. He pulled out his gun, got in and looked around for Julian. The place was empty so he left. Moments later, Michael and Milo arrived. The place was empty. Soon after, Ava arrived and furiously cursed before heading to the bathroom to do her hair. Once she was back to being a blond, Scott called, but he told her that he hadn't found the flash drive. When she got off the phone, someone arrived at her door. It was Paul. "I think I can help you," he told her.

Michael and Milo returned to GH to inform Carly and Kristina that Morgan was nowhere to be found. Then, Kristina freaked out.

Alexis took Julian to Sam's to hide. She wanted to send him off to her secret cabin in the woods. After they left, TJ crept out from around a corner. Then, Morgan showed up as TJ pocketed a flyer about the cabin. "Do you know where Julian and Alexis are?" Morgan asked TJ, who advised him to stay out of the mob battle. This got Morgan angry and he then demanded to know where Julian could be. Later, Milo and Michael arrived, looking for Morgan.

Alexis dropped Julian off at the cabin. Before she could leave, Morgan jumped out of the bushes with his gun drawn.
