Jessica Simpson was already an accomplished singer when MTV’s Newlyweds began, which documented her marriage with ex-husband Nick Lachey, but she now cringes at the thought of the show even though it brought her fame to new heights.
Simpson has been celebrating the 10-year anniversary of her highly successful Jessica Simpson Collection and making her media rounds, where she’s brought up Lachey a couple times.
She first said on CNBC on Thursday that marrying the former 90 Degrees singer was her biggest financial mistake, and she’s now saying she would avoid seeing a re-run of Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica at all costs.
She told Page Six if she ever saw the show again, “I would have a panic attack.”
On the Today Show, she told Savannah Guthrie she would not be filming a continuation of Newlyweds with her husband Eric Johnson, E! Online reports.
“That's very rear view," she said of reality television. "I mean I'm very open with fans and the media but having a camera on me at all times. I mean, we all know I stick my foot in my mouth a little bit too much so now that I'm a mom, I probably have to keep it together a little bit better."
