Jill Duggar has broke her silence on her brother, Josh Duggar’s most recent scandal and the sadness that has overcome her family in the wake of it.

Following Josh’s admission to having a porn addiction and cheating on his wife, Anna, he has checked into a rehab center for “long-term” treatment for these issues.

In a blog post on Monday, Jill became the first of his siblings to acknowledge the scandal by saying August ended on a “sad note” for them.

"August has been a busy month for us and as so many of you know it has ended on a sad note for my extended family," she wrote. "Please do pray for our family. We are so thankful for God's grace during difficult days."

Meanwhile, another one of Josh’s sisters, Jessa, posted a sermon from Pastor John Piper called "The Passions That Prevent Adultery” on Facebook.

She wrote along with the post, “The gospel convinces us of something irresistibly true, and then transforms our desires for something new. That conviction and passion keeps us out of bed with someone who’s not our spouse and rejects a thousand other temptations."
