Actor Michael B. Jordan sent Twitter into a frenzy after making interracial dating comments in response to rumors he was dating Kendall Jenner.
According to People, rumors started swirling when the two were spotted leaving the Met Gala after-party together. After receiving what Jordan took as a hostile attitude towards the rumors, he stated “A lot of black fans were feeling like, ‘Oh my God he should have been with a black women’ and that whole thing.”
The 28-year old actor went on to state that he doesn’t see black and white. His statements were met with much criticism from his fans.
Multiple reports from both parties have said the two are not dating. Jordan says he is focused on his work and “emotionally unavailable.”
Jordan also commented on his future acting plans. He told
GQ Magazine that he doesn’t want to go after stereotypical black roles stating “I want to be part of the movement that blurs the lines between white and black...I only want to go out for roles that were written for white characters. Me playing the role will make it what it is.”
Jordan is best known for his roles in Friday Night Lights, Fruitvale Station and 2015’s Fantastic Four.
