Miley Cyrus is one celebrity who could care less about joining Taylor Swift’s squad of actresses, singers and models, and that’s because she prefers non-famous friends.

The MTV Video Music Awards host and Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz singer, 22, said she’s “inspired” by people who aren’t famous.

“I'm not trying to be in the squad," she told New York Times. "None of my friends are famous and not because of any other reason than I just like real people who are living real lives, because I'm inspired by them."

This isn’t the only area in which Cyrus differs from Taylor Swift; she also previously spoke out about Swift’s “Bad Blood” video, which has undertones of being about taking down Katy Perry.

“I don't get the violence revenge thing," she said of Swift’s video. "That's supposed to be a good example? And I'm a bad role model because I'm running around with my titties out? I'm not sure how titties are worse than guns."

Meanwhile, when Swift won the VMA for Video of the Year for “Bad Blood,” she brought her squad up with her onstage.
