Mindy Lahiri has always been concerned "numero uno" and being pregnant isn’t going to change that.
Mindy Kaling had a few things to say about her character’s pregnancy on The Mindy Project. Kaling is on a press tour for her book second bookWhy Not Me? and her Hulu debut of The Mindy Project.
The star and creator of The Mindy Project chatted with People about playing a pregnant Mindy Lahiri. “Pregnancy is such a sacred thing, and a pregnant woman is, like, on the top of the totem pole in ways that you can be as a human,” Kaling said. You can bet that Mindy Lahiri is going to take advantage of that. “It was very fun to play a character who is so poorly behaved but thinks that she’s become a protected class just because of having unprotected sex,” the actress continued.
Last week, Kaling was being “scammed” in her book trailer. Earlier this week she told Andy Cohen that she wants to be part of Taylor Swift’s squad.
The Mindy Project season 4 premiered on Hulu on Tuesday, September 15. Kaling’s second book Why Not Me? hit shelves the same day. Expect a ton of laughs from Kaling in the coming days.
