This weekend is over and everyone is about to enter into recovery mode. This week our countdown features another cover Ryan Adams who recently took on Taylor Swift’s 1989 album. Adams first released “Bad Blood” and now follows that up with “Style.” This veirson of “Style” features an upbeat and classic rock ‘n’ roll melody, something similar to that of an early Bruce Springsteen. Adams has taken 1989 and reimagined it entirely.

Making another appearance on this countdown is up and coming musical sensation Halsey. She is currently out on tour but has released the music video for her hit, “New Americana.” The music video feels like a movie trailer and captures the energy behind this new anthem.

Rounding out this countdown includes, newcomer Erin McCarley, Boyce Avenue with a throwback cover and The Weeknd.

Erin McCarley earns the “newcomer” spot on this countdown. She is a name that you might not recognize on this countdown but she is one to check out. Her latest single, “I Can Be Somebody” is upbeat, clever and feels like a modern take on musical influences from the early 80s. The music video adds another layer of complexity and interest to the single.

9. Boyce Avenue (Craig David)- 7 Days

Boyce Avenue is known for their interesting YouTube covers and they have started covering throwback songs like that of Jesse McCartney and now they are taking on Craig David. David was at the height of his fame at 2000 with this hit “7 Days” and its fun to listen to the song revisited in an acoustic way.

8. The Weeknd-Can’t Feel My Face (Live)

The Weeknd had the hit of the summer with “Can’t Feel My Face.” Now The Weeknd is taking the VEVO stage and performing the hit live. After hearing “Face” on the radio, it sounded like an entire band coming together to play this song, when in fact its only one individual. Seeing his talent on stage and how he is able to really develop this sound is incredible and a must watch this week.

Up and coming country superstar Tyler Farr has released a live version of his heartbreak single, “Withdrawals.” Farr stands out in the country music industry because he has such emotion and passion behind his lyrics. Sia is one of the most famous songwriters in the music industry today and has also established an incredible solo career.
