Must Watch Videos–Madison Beer, Ryan Adams, Lady Gaga–September 21, 2015

This long weekend is almost over and everyone is about to enter into recovery mode. Its now back to the reality of work and school but while you are going through the weekly routine, why not check out the most popular, unique and entertaining music videos featured on YouTube. From country to pop to artists you haven’t heard of but will this countdown has got it covered. We do the work and research the top ten best music videos to watch this week so you don’t have to.

This week our countdown features the first of many covers coming from Ryan Adams take on Taylor Swift’s 1989 album. Adams has released “Bad Blood” in full and shows fans what he has been hinting to on social media, the fact that he has taken one of the most popular albums today in music and given it a classic rock twist. Adams has taken the lyrics and transformed this song into something new entirely. The song has a different feel and emotion but still contains all things Swift. The rest of this cover album cannot come out soon enough.

Lady Gaga makes her solo return to the countdown this week with her emotional and moving single, “Til It Happens to You.” The song and video take on the very difficult subject of sexual assault; a portion of proceeds from this single will be donated to organizations helping survivors of sexual assault.

Rounding out this countdown includes, Madison Beer, Echosmith with their latest pop single and a look at Empire season two.

8. Tyler Ward-Yellow Boxes

YouTube cover artist Tyler Ward continues to impress with his original music. This week he released another new single, “Yellow Boxes.” What makes Ward such a unique artist is that he refuses to fit in within the normal music industry. He has built an entire fan base through YouTube and has created a community of artists the same way. It is through these mediums that Ward has been finding great success with his original pieces.

“Better Love” will be stuck in your head by the end of this countdown. Foxes has done it again with a brand new single. Her musicality and vocal range continue to impress. She has an ear for finding melodies that stand out and adding in her own personality, “Better Love” is a great example of that.

5. See You Again-Boyce Avenue feat. Bea Miller

The name Bea Miller might sound familiar because of her chart topping hit, “Fire N Gold” and “Paper Doll” but now the up and coming pop star teamed up with YouTube sensations Boyce Avenue for their cover of “See You Again.” It doesn’t matter who takes on this hit song, the emotion and passion behind the lyrics is felt with every word.

Miller compliments the vocal ranges of Boyce Avenue and this collaboration feels refreshing and contemporary.

3. August Alsina & Lil’ Wayne-Why I Do It

August Alsina has teamed up with Lil’ Wayne for “Why I Do It.” This is an odd yet empowering song about being confident in yourself. Wayne sounds great on the track and helps to elevate this song to a different level.

2. Lady Gaga-Til It Happens To You

Lady Gaga has released an emotion and honest look into sexual assault with her latest music video “Til It Happens To You.” Gaga hasn’t released new music on her own, not counting work with Tony Bennett, in a while and this single shows that she is still on the top of her musical game. Gaga brings such emotion and passion into every lyric and the visuals capture that intensity frame by frame.

A portion of proceeds from this single will be donated to organizations helping survivors of sexual assault.

1. Ryan Adams-Bad Blood

Kelly Clarkson has been owning cover songs this summer but the trophy for best summer cover has to go to Ryan Adams for taking on Taylor Swift’s entire 1989 album. Adams has been sharing clips of these covers through his social media and now has released the entire cover of “Bad Blood.” This song feels like a brand new piece. Adams has taken Swift lyrics and transformed it into what could be a classic rock song. With this single out, the rest of the album needs to be released soon because hearing all of the tracks off of 1989 through Adams musical vision will be a pleasure unlike anything else.
