While there have been Academy Awards ceremonies with two hosts, that hasn’t happened since the disastrous 2011 ceremony hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco. However, with new producers in town, the show might go back to that format.

Emmy winner David Hill and Oscar nominee Reginald Hudlin were just named the producers on Tuesday and are already making waves. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the duo revealed that they want to have two hosts for the 88th Academy Awards.

“There will be multiple hosts for sure – there will be two,” Hill, who was a producer on Django Unchained and the former BET Networks Entertainment President, told EW.

“Two is better than one,” he joked. “Just imagine, you’re in there. One of your hosts drops dead from cardiac arrest. What do you do? Second host goes on! And you keep going. … Note to self. Check out their heart rates.”

EW reports that Hill and Hudlin already have a well-known comedy duo in mind to host the Oscars, but they weren’t specific of course. Hopefully, this means that Amy Poehler and Tina Fey have a shot at hosting the Oscars after their beloved three-year run as Golden Globe hosts.

Who do you think should host the Oscars on Feb. 28?
