Snoop Dogg has launched a new online media lifestyle company and there’s only one thing it could possibly be all about: marijuana.
The rapper and entrepreneur launched a site called Merry Jane, which only has animated green smoke and the logo up right now. You can enter your email to apply for early access to the site.
Snoop unveiled the site at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco Monday. He hopes that the platform will be a useful tool for anyone interested in pot, from the experienced smoker to anyone looking to try it out for the first time.
“We're providing the industry with something that's void right now,” Snoop said, reports The Hollywood Reporter. “We are the information hotline for cannabis. We are what's missing.”
Media entrepreneur Ted Chung co-founded Merry Jane and said the site will include original programming, videos, content and an interview series titled Deflower.
“There are so many people in the closet, and we are giving them an opportunity to come out of the closet and just admit they like to smoke,” Snoop explained.
While there’s nothing on the site itself, Merry Jane did start a YouTube channel, which has two videos. In the first, Snoop has a special message for Colorado, one of the states that legalized recreational marijuana use. The other features Marines discussing how they use medicinal marijuana.
Merry Jane will officially launch in October.
