Taylor Swift is now an Emmy winner. The pop superstar won a juried award today for an online behind-the-scenes program for her “Blank Space” video.
The TV Academy announced the winners of the juried awards, which will be handed out on Sept. 12 during the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony. Each winner was decided by a group of peers who discuss the entrants. There are no nominees announced and there can be multiple winners for awards.
Swift is one of two recipients of the Original Interactive Program Emmy thanks to the AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience app which gave fans a look at the making of the “Blank Space” video. The other winner for that award was the YouTube series Emma Approved.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon shared Social TV Experience with Comedy Central’s @midnight with Chris Hardwick. Katy Perry’s Super Bowl XLIX halftime show won Outstanding Costumes for a Variety Program or a Special, which also went to a Drunk History episdoe.
The 67th Primetime Emmys air on Fox on Sunday, Sept. 20.
