Earlier this week, “The View’s” Michelle Collins and Joy Behar made offensive comments about Miss Colorado, Kelley Johnson and sparked the social media movement #nursesunite.

The Denver Channel notes Collins and Behar addressed the controversy on the show. “We love nurses, if you’re watching, we adore you, we respect you. You guys are wonderful, you’re the most compassionate people,” Collins said. Behar joined her co-host and said her comments were “stupid and inattentive.”
Despite their apologies, The Wrap reports the offensive comments and widespread public discontent have led Johnson and Johnson and Eggland’s Best to pull their advertising from the show.
“Johnson & Johnson values and appreciates nurses and we respect the critical role they play in our health care system. We disagree with recent comments on daytime television about the nursing profession and we have paused our advertising accordingly, the company said to the Wrap.
“In light of the comments about the nursing profession recently made on daytime television we will no longer be advertising on the show in question,” Eggland’s Best said in a similar statement.
As we previously reported, Johnson performed an original monologue describing her experience as a nurse. She placed second in the Miss America pageant.
"We love nurses . . . We adore you. We respect you." - The View co-hosts respond to comments made earlier in the week about a Miss America contestant.
