Amy Poehler owes Tom Hanks a few records.
While promoting his new movie, Bridge of Spies, Hanks had a lot to say. The Academy Award-winning actor spilled the beans about working with Carly Rae Jepsen, his relationship with Amy Poehler and his thoughts on Zayn’s split from One Direction.
Hanks took over Entertainment Weekly’s Tumblr and fielded questions about anything and everything.
One user asked Hanks what it was like to be in Carly Rae Jepsen’s video. Hanks “really really really really really really really enjoyed it.”
Another user asked Hanks how he feels about Zayn’s departure from One Direction. “Not since N’Sync breaking up have I been such a basket case. I wish Zayn well…” he admitted.
The most enlightening response came when an anonymous user asked Hanks if he was mad when Amy Poehler called him “Tam Honks” at the Golden Globes. “I haven’t spoken to Amy since we broke up in the ‘80s,” Hanks wrote. “We shared a small apartment in Eagle Rock for about six moths. Before I met Rita, of Course. Amy didn’t like my dog, and she stole some of my good records when she moved out (without so much as a goodbye). I’m happy for her success, but would not walk across the street to say hello to May Epolher, as I know her,” the actor finished.
When Hanks signed off he reminded Poehler of the records he wants back. “So long, and Amy, you owe me Running on Empty by Jackson Brown and the Who Live at Leeds,” he said.
