Viola Davis has earned her first Emmy nomination for her work in How To Get Away With Murder and the actress had a very unique way of celebrating the news.
Davis spoke to People and explained that she heard the news from a friend. "I was in my Jacuzzi, and I got a call from a friend. We had a whole conversation and then, as he was ready to hang up, he said, 'Oh, by the way, congratulations on your nomination,'" Davis explained. "I made an egg salad sandwich on low-carb toast, poured myself some prosecco and got back in the Jacuzzi."
How To Get Away With Murder is returning this fall on ABC and premieres on Sept. 24th.
Davis is nominated for lead actress in a TV drama along with, Taraji P. Henson, Empire, Claire Danes, Homeland, Robin Wright, House of Cards, Elisabeth Moss, Mad Men and Tatiana Maslany, Orphan Black.
Along with having a busy TV schedule, Davis is also appearing in the upcoming D.C. property, Suicide Squad as Amanda Waller. Squad will be released on August 5, 2016.
