Do you remember that saying? One person’s trash is another’s treasure. Definitely the case with CBS’ Late Show/Late Late Show promo that could have been.
Stephen Colbert and James Corden, hosts of the CBS late night line up teamed up to film a promo for their shows but the commercials never made it to air.
According to Entertainment Weekly James Corden shared the failed promos on Wednesday’s episode of The Late Late Show. The pair was game for anything in the “failed” attempt at a promo video. They spent time on a beach, attempted to ride a tandem bike then pretended to ride one, got in a horse costume, played pirates, dressed in sweaters and debuted the new drama The Sweater Boys, and more. It’s nearly impossible not to laugh as you watch the two try desperately to get through just one take.
Colbert’s Late Show got off to a great start this week. He has had guests ranging from George Clooney to Jeb Bush, to Scarlett Johansson. He will end his first week with Amy Schumer and Stephen King. As The Sweater Boys would say, “Rhode Island… beware.”
