You’re the Worst is a show about a relationship between two horrible people Gretchen and Jimmy. Their two best friends and sidekicks, Lindsey and Edgar, always seem to be thrown into the craziness. This show is a funny commentary of how wonderfully awful people can really be.
Season 1 of You’re the Worst ended with Gretchen’s apartment burning down and her moving in with Jimmy (and roommate Edgar) as a result. Both seemed worried at the prospect of living together. Lindsey bombed out of her marriage, ending the season with her husband, Paul, asking for a divorce, as a result.
In this episode, Jimmy and Gretchen are playing a game of chicken. Since moving in together, they have stayed up partying night after night. They are to the point where they really should get some sleep. However, neither want to chicken out and admit that they have gone too far.
The peak when Gretchen comes home wearing a black leather bustier and Jimmy has a stash of coke. They wake up the next morning to the house completely trashed. They keep the party rolling by waking up on top of a stolen rip off Google (Zoiddle) street-view car the next morning after taking a the newest drug pill on the market the night before.
They try to take a night off, but immediately head out to the bar to prove that they are not boring sweater people (people who are comfortable in their relationship) who need a normal night rest.
Meanwhile, Edgar is helping Lindsey cope with her divorce with the hope of her falling in love with him.
