Shaw Media, the show’s Canadian broadcaster, announced today that the sixth season was Rookie Blue’s last. The series centered on a group of young Toronto cops with a cast that includes Andy McNally, Dov Epstein, Traci Nash, Chris Diaz, Gail Peck, Oliver Shaw and Sam Swarek.

“After six seasons the series reached a natural conclusion and this season's finale was the perfect wrap up for both our rookies and for fans, especially with the marriage of our favourite couple, Sam and Andy,” Christine Shipton, Senior Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, Shaw Media, said in a statement.

“On behalf of the whole Rookie Blue family, thank you to all the fans for your dedication over the last six years. After six fun and dramatic seasons, our story has come to a natural close,” creator Ilana Frank said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rookie Blue was produced by Entertainment One and IFC Films. It aired on ABC in the U.S. and ran 74 episodes.
