There have been rumors for a few months about a reboot of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, but according to Carlton Banks himself, you probably shouldn't get too excited.

Alfonso Ribeiro recently sat down with The Huffington Post, and was asked about the potential Fresh Prince reboot. The actor said that he doesn't find it exciting because he doesn't think it's actually going to happen. Even if it did, it wouldn't really be Fresh Prince anymore.

"It would be something that's taking the story of the show and having all new people do something," he said. "To me, that's not Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. There's one Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Is Will Smith starring in it? No. Then it ain't no Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."

He raises a fair point, as any potential Fresh Prince reboot would likely just be a modern retelling, rather than a gathering together of the old cast. When TV Line first reported on the story a few months ago, they described the reboot as being a "present-day family comedy that puts a new spin on the fish-out-of-water tale while maintaining the spirit of Fresh Prince." This is as opposed to Fuller House, which actually takes the classic characters and shows audiences what they're up to today.

Ribeiro did speculate on what Carlton Banks is up to in 2015, though. He said that he probably came back to Bel-Air after graduating from Princeton and is living as a big-time lawyer following in his father's footsteps. Presumably, he's also still dancing to "It's Not Unusual" on a daily basis.
