American Idol is three weeks into its 12th season and this week’s episode stayed steady with last week. Elsewhere, new episodes of ABC’s sitcoms struggled with a Modern Family repeat in the middle. NBC’s Chicago Fire dipped as well.

Overall, Idol drew 15.59 million viewers and a 5.4 18-49 rating for Fox. According to Deadline, that’s the same as last week, but an 11 percent drop from the same week during Season 11. The show is still in the audition phase, with last night’s being filmed in San Antonio.

HitFix reports that CBS came in a distant second with 8.07 million viewers and a 1.8 18-49 rating. The Super Bowl commercials special had 9.87 million viewers and a 2.1 18-49 rating, which was up from last year. The rest of the night included repeats of Criminal Minds and CSI.

NBC followed with 5.61 million viewers and a 1.6 18-49 rating. Whitney had 3.58 million viewers and a 1.3 18-49 rating, while Guys with Kids had just 2.8 million and a 1.1 rating. Law & Order: SVU followed with 6.37 million viewers and a 1.7 key demo rating. Chicago Fire finished the night strong with 7.2 million and a 2.0 18-49 rating. That’s a 9 percent drop from its last new episode.

ABC was mostly repeats, although there were new episodes of The Neighbors and Suburgatory. The network averaged 4.63 million viewers and a 1.5 18-49 rating. Neighbors had 5.25 million and a 1.6 18-49 rating, while Suburgatory had 4.87 million and a 1.8 rating. Both reached series lows, notes THR.

Over at The CW, a new Arrow had 3 million viewers and a 0.9 18-49 rating. Supernatural came in with 2.28 million viewers and a 0.9 key demo rating.
