Carey Mulligan and Mumford and Sons' Marcus Mumford welcomed their first child a few weeks ago, and she’s now revealing they have a baby girl.
The new mom appeared on The Graham Norton Show with her Suffragette co-stars Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep, and revealed the happy news. She also confirmed she gave birth three weeks ago.
Mulligan, 30, didn’t elaborate, but a source told E! News, she gave “birth to a healthy and happy baby. She is just enjoying this time with her family and close friends."
Mulligan and Mumford, who got married in 2012, never publicly confirmed their pregnancy but her baby bump got harder to hide as her pregnancy went on.
Their good friend, Sienna Miller, has spoken out on her excitement for the couple to become parents. She described their life as “idyllic,” explaining, “Marcus can headline Glastonbury and Carey can be nominated for however many Oscars, and then they come back to their farm, and they’re in big woolly jumpers and funny hats, raising piglets. It’s an amazing balance they’ve managed to strike. I can’t wait for a little baby to come along.”
