Carly McKinney is 23 year old math teacher at Overland High School with the Cherry Creek School District in Aurora, Colorado. However, she is in hot water for photos she posted on her public Twitter account at Dj Diplo. Diplo who in return retweeted some of the images directed toward him.
Diplo is often retweeting females who tweet at him doing handstands with their back side in the air facing toward the viewer; its called #Expressyourself. The teacher certainly expressed herself in her version of the pose, given she had no top on and only a very seductive under garment. She also had some other very risqué images uploaded (see images below).
According to Zap 2 it also Carly tweeted images of "her drinking, stripping, smoking a questionable substance, and posing semi-nude for her followers."
Huffington Post reported that some of McKinney's students don't believe she should be punished. Because she did it outside of school. The students had said, "It's a teacher that's only five or six years older than our oldest students."
The one student according to Huffington Post continued to say, "So we kind of relate to her on a personal level." Huffington also reported that some of McKinney's fellow teachers don't think she should be fired over her tweets.
Cherry Creek School District spokesperson Tustin Amole said, "There are things that are troubling to us," Amole also commented that. "...what we need to do is to talk with her to review our district policy and then determine what our next step will be."
McKinney told 7Newsshe understood that her employer can become concerned about her, as an employee, use of social media. But she said that she doesn't know what create their concern.
