Dakota Fanning, notorious for her role in Man on Fire alongside Denzel Washington, has grown up before our very eyes, and now the 18-year-old star will take off her clothes on screen for the first time in Very Good Girls.
Fanning gushed about the opportunity, telling MTV News, “Yeah, well, I've never done that before and I'm very newly allowed to do that. I was newly 18, so yeah, it was, it's kind of a sensitive thing, but it's a part of life."
Very Good Girls, which costars Elizabeth Olsen, Demi Moore, Peter Sarsgard and Richard Dreyfuss, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival this month.
Not only is the young starlet taking her clothes off on film, but she is also losing her virginity in film. Also costarring with Boyd Holbrook whom she makes love to, she admits, “No one's ever comfortable [doing love scenes]," she states maturely.
Holbrook notes that being a teenager in love and going through those experiences is “quite awkward” explaining, “This film's about its going into life, first sexual experience, so it's all about the environment and not taking it too serious."
Very Good Girls is directed by Naomi Foner and will be released in the UK this year.
