Just a week after his departure from the Los Angeles Dodgers, Don Mattingly has reportedly found another ball club to manage next season.

Sources have confirmed to CBS Sports that Mattingly will become the skipper of the Miami Marlins and the two sides reached a deal. Moreover insiders told Molly Knight, who spent a year chronicling the Dodgers for her best-selling book, that Mattingly has agreed to a four-year contract.

As we previously reported, after the news that he would no longer manage the Dodgers, the Marlins were the team to emerge as having interest in the former Yankees first baseman managing the club. It is also no secret that team owner Jeffrey Loria has long thought of Mattingly as the best choice to lead the team in the right direction.

The 54-year-old manager was hired to replace Joe Torre in 2011 and had a 446-363 record with the Dodgers. While he won three straight division titles in LA, the team only advanced past the NLDS once.

Any official announcement on a deal with Miami will likely not come until after the World Series is completed.
