Jimmy Kimmel will not get to interview Donald Trump during his week of shows in Brooklyn. The Trump campaign said that he has another obligation.

A Trump spokeswoman told CNN that Trump has a “political obligation” and will try to schedule an interview with Kimmel on a different episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Politico reports that Kimmel also told Howard Stern this morning that Trump had cancelled. Trump was supposed to appear on JKL tonight after Jay Z.

Kimmel didn’t have a traditional sit-down interview with Trump planned. In an interview with CNN last week, Kimmel said, “I'm not interviewing him... It will be in studio, it'll be live, and it'll all make perfect sense when you see it.” Now we'll have to wait even longer to know what Kimmel was referring to.

Trump has already done interviews on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The real estate mogul is running for the Republican presidential nomination and is still leading in several national polls.

Kimmel’s week of Brooklyn shows are taped at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
