Seattle Seahawks running back Fred Jackson was involved in a traffic accident Tuesday outside of the Seahawks training facility in Renton, WA.

Local police reported Jackson lost control of his Chevy Corvette and hit a stop sign. Luckily Jackson was not injured but was brought back to the team facility to be evaluated by team personnel.

Initial reports allege Jackson was involved in a drag race with teammate Marshawn Lynch. Lynch was also photographed at the scene, however, Renton police have said these reports are false and there is no indication a race took place.

Police spokesperson David Liebman said in a statement, "There is no evidence he was drag racing anyone. He was leaving the facility, and he was clearly driving too fast when he hit a street sign.” Liebman also went on to state that there was a significant amount of damage to the car.

In photos obtained by TMZ, Several Seattle players were shown to stop by the scene of the accident and attempted to help Jackson out of the car including cornerback Richard Sherman.

Reports say Jackson waited for police to arrive at the scene and was fully cooperative. The team has yet to comment on the accident.

Seattle signed Jackson to a one-year contract back in September after being released by the Buffalo Bills mainly to be used as a backup behind Lynch.
