U.S. gymnast Simone Biles flipped her way into history Thursday evening in Glasgow, Scotland, by winning her third straight world all-around title.

ESPN W noted that although she had a bit of a mishap during her beam routine and her right foot land out of bounds on the tumbling run, Biles still finished 1.083 points above the competition.

"I kept looking at the scoreboard because everyone wanted the three-peat, but I would have been proud of myself whatever the outcome," the 18-year-old said.

Biles did land in a familiar spot atop the podium and was joined by teammate and reigning Olympic champion Gabby Douglas and bronze medalist Larisa Iordache of Romania.

The Texas native has become one of the most-dominant gymnast of her era and will be heading into Rio de Janeiro for the Summer Olympic Games next year as the clear favorite. Knowing that she had her miscues but still won by what she did has her ready to show the world just what she can do in Brazil.

"It wasn't my best meet but it was Ok. I'm really surprised by the margin because I feel I can do so much better."
