With the ending of the X-Men and Hunger Games trilogies, Jennifer Lawrence will move on from franchises and move into something a little different.
According to Variety, Lawrence is in talks to join Darren Aronofsky’s next untitled project. Apparently, the Black Swan director is currently looking for a cast and studio to pick up his project. He also wants to start shooting sometime this Spring.
Lawrence is currently filming a science fiction picture for Sony, Passengers with Chris Pratt, but after that she will have a wide open schedule. She just left another Sony project, The Rosie Project.
Aronofsky wrote the script for this new film himself after a few other projects fell through. He was reportedly in talks to direct Channing Tatum's Evel Knievel biopic, but Variety reports that he left that project.
Aronofsky has a reputation for doing darker films as well as pushing his female leads. If Lawrence is looking for something different in her career, Aronofsky could be the perfect director for her. Both Aronofsky and Lawrence are repped by CAA.
