Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald, the eldest sisters of the Duggar family featured in TLC’s now-cancelled 19 Kids & Counting, will be back on television in December. TLC has released the first promo for their special, Counting On.

In the one-minute spot, Jill and Jessa talk about their feelings when the news broke that their older brother, Josh Duggar, had sexually molested young girls as a teen. Two of his victims were Jill, now 24, and Jessa, now 22.

“Here I am. The most joyful time in my life, you know. Newly married. Baby on the way,” Jessa says in the clip. “And then...”

“The whole world was shocked,” Jill says.

“We were devastated,” Jessa says. “Like we couldn’t believe it.”

Jill tells the camera that she still cries, but Jessa later notes that the family still has some exciting and happy things to celebrate. Jessa is pregnant and Jill has a young son.

The new special is the first in a series that will focus on just Jill and Jessa. It is expected to air in December.

Josh’s scandal ultimately led to TLC cancelling 19 Kids and Counting in July. As for Josh, he admitted to having an Ashley Madison account, having an affair and an addiction to pornography. He is currently in rehab.
