Jimmy Fallon used the Tonight Show to joke about his latest hand injury, making fun of himself for hurting himself again in his opening monologue.
Fallon hurt his hand while falling at Harvard University, where he received an honor from the prestigious school’s comedy magazine. He hurt his other hand in June after his wedding ring got caught on the side of a table.
He came out wearing a hard hat and safety goggles, introducing himself by saying, "Welcome to the Tonight Show, I'm your host Trippy Fallon.”
"I've had another mishap,” he told the audience. “This time I injured my other hand right after getting an award from Harvard. That's right – even when I get into Harvard, I still embarrass my parents.”
He later described the incident – and even acted it out – when he returned to his desk.
“Some girl knelt down, I didn't see her," he said. "So I threw the bottle and landed on broken glass.”
