Jon Stewart is moving on from comedy and starting a new venture focused on animal rights.
Yahoo News reports Stewart and his wife attended a gala for Farm Sanctuary, an organization that provides shelter to animals rescued from factory farms to announce their new project with the group.
According to The Free Thought Project, Tracey Stewart told the gala attendees, "We bought a farm in New Jersey with the intention of starting a farm sanctuary of our own with an educational center, but what I'm announcing tonight is that our farm is actually going to be the New Jersey branch of Farm Sanctuary."
She added, "We're going to build advocates, new curious learners and new leaders of this very important movement."
The organization shared their excitement for thew new project on Twitter.
According to Mother Nature Networks, opening the farm has been a life-long dream for Tracey who is a veterinary technician, an advocate for animal rights and the author of Do Unto Animals, the current No. 1 best seller on animal husbandry on Amazon.
