Lamar Odom now out of coma, can breathe on his own

Former NBA star Lamar Odom has reportedly opened his eyes and can finally breathe on his own. He has even started talking to Khloe Kardashian.

Odom has been hospitalized since Tuesday since he was found unconscious at a legal brothel in Nevada. He is being treated at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas and it was reported earlier today that his heart started responding.

Then, sources told E! News that Odom is now breathing on his own and woke up from a coma. ABC News and USA Today have also reported that the 35-year-old has opened his eyes. It was also reported that he has made attempts to talk before he went back to sleep.

Khloe, Odom’s wife, has been by his side, along with her mother Kris Jenner and sister Kim Kardashian. Odom’s father, his children and their mother also visited him, as did friend and former teammate Kobe Bryant.

Odom was found unconscious at the Love Ranch, a legal brothel in Crystal, Nevada, on Tuesday. It’s been reported that he took cocaine and sexual enhancement drugs. He had been partying there since Friday.

Odom and Khloe married in 2009 and filed for divorce last year. However, their divorce has not been finalized yet.
